Dear subscriber,
There’s a kewl scene in the movie Pulp Fiction…
… that contains a clever (and potentially very profitable) biz lesson.
Here’s the scene:
Vincent (John Travolta) and Mia (Uma Thurman) enter a 50s-style diner named Jack Rabbit Slim’s to have a bite to eat (what else?) This L.A. diner has decor that’s straight out of an “Archie” comic book. There are posters all over the walls of 50s icons such as James Dean and Marilyn Monroe, there are saucy waitresses in bobby socks, and golden oldies music emanating from an old Wurlitzer jukebox. Oh, and the diner’s booths are made out of cut-up bodies of 50s cars.
You get the idea.
Well anyway, they sit down and a waiter dressed up as Buddy Holly serves them.
Here’s the dialogue:
BUDDY: Hi, I’m Buddy. What can I get ‘cha?
VINCENT: Let’s see, steak, steak, steak. Oh, yeah, I’ll have the Douglas Sirk steak.
I’ll have that.
BUDDY: How do you want that cooked? Burned to a crisp or bloody as hell?
VINCENT: Bloody as hell, and… oh, yeah, look at this – vanilla coke.
BUDDY: What about you, Peggy Sue?
MIA: I’ll have the… Durward Kirby burger, bloody. And… a five-dollar shake.
BUDDY: How do you want that shake, Martin and Lewis, or Amos ‘n Andy?
MIA: Martin and Lewis.
VINCENT: Did you just order a five-dollar shake?
MIA: Sure did.
VINCENT: That’s a shake? That’s milk and ice cream?
MIA: Uh-huh. Last I heard.
VINCENT: That’s five dollars?
BUDDY: Yep.
VINCENT: You don’t put bourbon in it or nothin’?
BUDDY: Nope.
VINCENT: Just checking.
BUDDY: I’ll be right back with your drinks.

Believe it or not, that scene contains a simple (but oh-so profitable) profit-boosting strategy that I’d guess 9 out 10 business owners never ever use, much less understand it.
If business owners knew how profitable this strategy could be for their business, they would immediately implement it, right?
Wrong.
For some reason, people have a strong psychological resistance to doing this. Now, if you’d like to create a hot new income stream for your business using this particular strategy, well… who wouldn’t?
The question is: do you have the berries to do things that make the average business person wobbly and weak-kneed?
If that sounds like you, then you’ll love this clever sales strategy that’s revealed on page 18 of the May issue.
