“I’ve never lost a game, I just ran out of time. ~ Michael Jordan
Dear subscriber,
There’s a popular sports saying in Australia that goes like this:
Winners are grinners and losers can go and make other arrangements.
I’ve never really understood what “make other arrangements” means, but we can safely assume it’s not implying something good. Hmm. That was probably the wrong quote to share with you.
How about I share a quote with you that I DO understand, eh? Geez, Kelvin, that would be a novel idea. Share something you actually understand!
Fair point.
Yup, I guess I deserved that one.
Okay, let’s see if I can redeem myself here. Now listen, there’s a motivational speaker named Eric Thomas who says something I like. It’s this:
“Winners win and losers lose.”
Basically, Eric brilliantly communicated a truth in just 5-words. And what truth would that be? This: Winning and losing are both a habit. You see, the reason why winners keep winning and losers keep losing is that they’re being controlled by something located in between the ears. And this thing between their ears drives their behavior and influences their results.
It’s called:
A Mindset!
And just as the word describes… it’s set! It’s thought patterns you have been thinking for so long that they have solidified (like concrete) in your mind. As we go through life, our set thought patterns dictate our behavior and influence our results. Nothing will change unless you dig up the slab of concrete that is your mindset and lay down a new slab. (Is this analogy working?)
Ah, hell, I feel like I’m losing here. How about that, huh? I am talking about winning and here I am falling on my arse. I dunno, the words don’t seem to be flowing today. Not gonna lie, writing a newsletter every day can suck some days. You know, writing is like math: 4 out of 3 people struggle to do it.
Okay, plowing ahead.
Now, speaking of winning, I have added a bonus audio to my premium content for August.
This audio is probably the best audio I’ve ever heard on the topic of mental toughness and possessing a winning attitude. Here’ what it’s about:
This audio is an interview with Michael Jordan’s personal trainer of 15-years. Need I say anymore? I mean, you think, maybe, just maybe a guy like that has some insights to share that could help you in your life?
Once you hear this trainer, you’ll know exactly why Michael Jordan hired him as his trainer for the last 15-years of his career, and why he’s a member of MJ’s tiny and very exclusive inner circle.
In a few hours, I’m going to give a sneak preview of that interview.
Sit tight, Ace.
Your friend,
Kelvin

P.S. We are racing towards August, don’t miss out on this issue, especially if you sell any type of info product, course, or training. Rush here: https://kelvindorsey.com/mavericks-inner-circle/
